Can't help but wonder if the Exxon Valdez was also a planned "accident". All the elements of a bad plot are evident. All the locations of the grounded Valdez not only differ by more than a nautical mile; they seem so inconsistent with the official incident report.

Why must a simple task of getting the right grounded location of the Exxon Valdez be so screwed up?
