When we first started investigation into the BP Gulf Oil Disaster
(BPGOD), we dismissed most of all the so-call conspiracy theories and
followed BP's official version that this disaster was primarily caused
by the field crew's negligence and incompetence.
As we investigated deeper, we discovered published facts and documents that this disaster was contrived in earnest as early as 2007. BP's current defence ...that this was a disaster borne out of gross negligence and a long series of "accidental safety lapses" is just a flimsy cover for a multitude of sinister agenda including "a slow kill genocide" and the need to spike global crude oil prices. BP was losing an estimated $6.25 million/day if oil prices had stayed at $40/bbl. Global crude oil prices dip below $35/barrel following the mid 2008 Financial Meltdown.

With such haphazard rush to drill, what was the real objective? To be the sacrificial lamb to prop up the oil prices from lows of $35/bbl? To save the Thunder Horse project which just started producing on 14 June 2008 after countless problems of deep water production? To shore up investors' confidence on the first deep water production facility which took 9 painful years and >$5 billion to produce 175,000 bpd?

Figures 165-0 to 165-6 accurately depict how deep down the abyss the oil industry had sank into. How can we pretend that all is well with the oil industry? The 11 crewmen died not because they did not perform their job well. On the contrary, these men plus the previous drilling crew performed exceptionally well. Otherwise they could not have drilled through hell to reach the reservoir at 18,360 ft below sea level. They were on a “suicide mission” without being told that the nightmare well was supposed to blow once they had successfully reached the reservoir. It is time to put the records straight. As Edmund Burke said; “All that is needed for evil to succeed is that decent human beings do nothing”.
The illustration of the 3 infamous leaks on a badly twisted riser was designed to confuse and to twist public opinion to their advantage. Many experts in the industry wondered at the ludicrous illustration but no one dare to criticize big brother, BP.
